Evening with Australian Tennis Legend Pat Cash!
Join us for an insightful evening with a true icon of Australian tennis, Pat Cash, as he shares some entertaining stories of his career and talks about the wonderful charity work he is currently involved in. You will also have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session and maybe snare a photo and autograph too! The evening will be held to coincide with Pat’s visit to Albury to attend the Youth of Tomorrow program where 182 local kids will be given a racket/tennis gear and have the opportunity to be coached over 6 weeks at one of Australia’s best grass courts facilities.
About Pat Cash
Pat rose to international fame with his unforgettable victory at Wimbledon in 1987, where he defeated world number one Ivan Lendl in straight sets. His exuberant climb into the stands to celebrate with his family started a tradition that continues at Wimbledon to this day. Over his career, Pat achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 4, won six ATP singles titles, and was a key member of Australia’s Davis Cup-winning teams in 1983 and 1986. Renowned for his aggressive serve-and-volley style and charismatic presence, he has inspired generations of tennis fans and players alike.
Beyond the court, Pat is deeply committed to supporting young people and communities. He is the co-founder and Patron of the Youth of Tomorrow program, which empowers Aussie kids through education and life skills, reaching thousands of students across Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales. Pat also supports a range of charitable initiatives, including Tennis For Free, which provides free tennis coaching in public parks, and Do Something!, a not-for-profit organisation promoting positive social and environmental change. He is also an advocate for men’s health through his work with the Orchid charity, supporting research and awareness for male-specific cancers.
